Here you'll find a quick timeline of our life together. It all started in 2004 at a frat party and it has been quite the exciting ride since!
Jason and I met at Washington State University on April 16, 2004. This picture was taken in the first few weeks but sadly, I don't remember exactly when.
This picture was at our friends Rob and Kacie's wedding. Little did we know that 6 years later - to the day - we could be celebrating our own marriage!!!
I think, looking back, it was meant to workout. Sure, we went through some bumps and turns along the way but it worked out :) We lived 1.5 hours apart for two year, then in the same city but different houses for two years, then we took the plunge and moved in together after moving all the way across the state to a city neither of us had ever been too. We got engaged soon after, at the SeaTac Airport after I'd gotten home from being in Europe for a month with my family :)
We were married 50 weeks from the day we got engaged. In case you can't tell, I like remembering dates :) We planned our wedding in Portland from our house in Olympia. The wedding was gorgeous and turned out about 90% perfect. We had a dropped cake, a horrible DJ but LOTS of friends and family and fun to override those not-as-glamorous parts!!!
We spent our honeymoon in Jamaica :) A week without cell phones, computers and interruptions. We swam and snorkeled, walked up a water fall, and enjoyed our first real, at-a-resort not visiting-family, vacation we'd ever had :)
After we got back from the honeymoon I started a new job, my fourth in four years, Jason found some jobs to tide him over until he got the job of a lifetime. We also bought a house and dove head first and all night long (sometimes) into fixing it up and getting ready to move it!
Me with champagne and the house papers!!!
Now we've been together almost 8 years and married almost 3. We've been through a lot of ups and downs but continue to lean, learn, and love on each other!
